very comfortable, but I worry I look a little frumpy because of the way it's cut.
I am between Wool& sizes Medium and Large in the bust, definitely a Large in the hip, and have narrower shoulders. I sized down to a Medium in the Sierra and the fit is perfect. I ordered both the Medium and Large in the Eliza. I preferred the fit of the Medium - if you are broader in the shoulders, you should probably go with the recommended size. With the swing style, I find the sizing is more flexible for the hips. I love this heavier french terry, it shows fewer lumps and bumps than the wool jersey fabric. I bought this dress in black to use as a base for layering more colorful jackets and scarves - very excited for this versatile basic.
I wear L or XL in Wool&, depending on the piece and the cut. Glad I followed the advice to size up from Sierra, which I wear in size L. The Eliza in XL is perfect for me. I put it on a week ago when I got it and I haven't worn anything else since then! Perfect weight for on its own or layered, cozy without being claustrophobic. I like the higher neck in winter, I see some folks don't like it. Looking forward to taking it to Ireland this spring, for the sturdy, simple elegance and long wearing without stink. I think it will be the perfect travel piece for the vagaries of Irish weather this time of year.
This is my 2nd Eliza, I wore my first for the 100 day dress challenge and am still wearing it daily. I homeschool and stay at home with 4 littles so I love feeling put together and being comfortable without much thought!
I bought the 2nd one so that I could have a wash day for my first and not worry about dry time (though it does usually dry over night). Love this dress for the winter, it's cozy and I just layer it with leggings and a shawl or scarf.
I'm 5'2" and this dress hits me right above the knee(a little higher when I'm wearing my baby) which is perfect
with leggings. I go hiking with my kids, play on the floor and just do life in the dress. With so many littles I was it every 5-7 days as I'm often used as a napkin but all the stains lift right off so I'm no longer nervous when I accidentally spill.
A very nice addition to the French Terry collection! A good Fall/Winter dress, depending on where you live, of course. Love the swing style in this heavier fabric. Warm and cozy.
