I’m 5’3” and was 150+ pounds when I ordered a blue, large, I think? I’d size up, as a recommendation, in case it goes in hot washer and got dryer. I’ve got a more narrow waist and a big l, not wide but more “outtie” butt. Skirt looks good (better) despite 10-15 lb weight loss. Delighted the stretch waist band was wide enough to not roll, but not so big or chunky you have to cover waist up. When heavier, my stomach did pooch out. The fabric is thicker than one might like at first, but not stiff or hot. In fact fabric hides panty lines and is 100% opaque. The blue is almost a neutral color, pairs with alot and I actually now love and appreciate the dusty dark cornflower blue (not navy), color far more than I expected when I first glanced. Material is not itchy on bare skin, not thin or shiny or pill-y after normal machine cool wash and dryer to almost dry/damp (then I air dry for an hour). Material doesn’t wrinkle. The skirt fits as I hoped, just below my knee bones, and looks great with bare legs, tights, bare legs, boots or or flat sandals. I’ve worn Sketcher slip-ons that have a NON platform 3/4 “ sole, Blundstones, Dansko clogs, and Taos flat buckled sandals and get frequent compliments on this skirt.
Can dress up or down super comfortable. Wish it had pockets. I sized up for comfort
Getting ready to travel a month with just a carry-on and wanted something that packs small and that I could dresss up or down. Since it's a pencil skirt I wanted it fuller around my stomach so I went with a large instead of a medium. It's perfect. I can wear it with the slit in the back or the front but it isn't cut high either way. The waistband is 2" wide encased heavy elastic so doesn't roll. The fabric is heavy enough that it doesn't cling more than expected and drapes well. At age 70 I expect to be quite chic on the streets of Paris.
The fabric and fit are excellent! Unfortunately my skirt had lots of stray threads sticking out of the seams, which was disappointing for a $150+ skirt
We appreciate your review and are sorry to hear about those threads. We'd love it if you reached out to our support team so that we can help!
I've been wanting to try this one for a while. When it went on sale I purchased it on impulse and I'm glad I did. It is such a good looking yet comfortable skirt. The Ponte fabric is soft and midweight with a lot of stretch. I wear M in Evelyn and L in Chloe and I went with the L because of my waist and hip measurements.
